Haul 02/04/10 - OPI's Hong Kong Collection, China Glaze, Sun Glaze (!), Color Club and more

Omigod, you guys, I am so disgustingly excited about my lastest haul... I found the OPI Hong Kong collection at Trade Secret in the mall yesterday!  I stopped by to go to Sephora, to check out the new Modern Flowers collection... which my crappy Sephora didn't have.  Of course.  There's one colour called Go With The Flow-er that I really like... But I did pick up this little gem that I'd been wanting for a while:

Sephora brand polish in Blue Sapphire.  Wanted this ever since I first saw it on a blog somewhere.  Sephora is so bloody expensive - seven bucks for a 5 mL bottle?  But this colour is just absolutely gorgeous - dark blue jelly with dark blue and silver glitter.  It's like looking at a night sky.  Reminds me of Essie's Starry Starry Night, but not... man I want that polish... hardest-to-find polish, ever....

Anyway, I saw the sign for the HK collection outside Trade Secret, so I made my boyfriend stop and go inside.  I only allowed myself to purchase two, because they were 10 bucks each and I can get them much cheaper at a beauty supply.  I chose Jade Is The New Black and Bling Dynasty.  And today, at the beauty supply store, I also picked up Pearl Of Wisdom and Meet Me On The Star Ferry.  I meant to get Hot N' Spicy as well but forgot to put it in my basket. 

L-R: Jade Is The New Black (muted medium green creme), Bling Dynasty (gold), Pearl Of Wisdom (shimmery pink duochrome pearl), Meet Me On The Star Ferry (shimmery gold-toned mauve).  I thought Bling Dynasty looked very similar to another discontinued OPI gold I have called 18K Ginza Gold.  Here's a bottle comparison....

18KGG on the left, Bling Dynasty on the right.  18K is much warmer and orangey than BD, which is more of a metallic, "true" gold.  18KGG probably flatters me more, though...

Overall, this collection is nicer than the last couple from OPI.  Not terribly exciting, but nice.  Jade Is The New Black seems to be the most popular, and it is very unique.  It actually looks like the colour of jade, like all the billions of little carved jade statues they sell in souvenier shops along Water and Robson Streets.  This is what jade looks like, unlike another polish of the same name.  The other names are kind of dumb, though.  There was a red called A Good Man-Darin Is Hard To Find.  Don't they speak Cantonese in Hong Kong?  Yeah, anyway...

Other stuff I got:

OPI in Bubble Bath (sheer pink creme) and Significant Other Color (sheer shimmery light gold-tone mauve pink).  I saw both of these on blogs - SOC being layered over another OPI polish... I can't remember which...  Like My Limousine?  Something like that?  It made me want them. 

A bunch of China Glazes, as usual:

L-R: China Glaze Frostbite (shimmery cobalt blue - great Canucks colour :), Spontaneous (lavender creme - similar to Finger Paints' Lavender Highlight.  Much more purple and less pink than in this pic), Fairy Dust (sparkly silver holo glitter - silver, not gold like in this stupid pic) and Rodeo Fanatic (shimmery teal with blue and purple duochrome - doesn't show up in this pic AT ALL).  These are horrible pics - even more so than normal.  The colours just would NOT show up on my camera.

L-R: Cowgirl Up (shimmery burgundy - much more purple-ish and less red than in this pic), Rainbow (white with pink duochrome - not at all pink in the bottle like in this pic), Coconut Kiss (shimmery, slightly metallic royal purple - more blue and less rosy than in pic) and Eyes Like Sapphires (shimmery cobalt with dark blue microglitter).

I know - eight China Glazes?  Really? Bit much?  I have a total China Glaze addiction.  I can't get enough of these polishes.  By far my fave brand.  It just seems like every colour is so gorgeous and I just have to own it...

And look what else I found...

China Glaze Sun Glaze polishes!  I mentioned these before, and like I said, I have NO idea how old they are.  But what a cool concept!  They change color in the sun?  Really?  I'll have to see about that.  Most of them were all separated and unsalvageable but I managed to pick out some that still looked okay.  I tried to pick the ones that sounded like they had the most dramatic color change.  L-R:  Light Blue to Lavender, Light Peach to Golden Yellow, Raspberry to Plum Ice, and Abalone to Shimmering Blue.  I can't wait to try these in the summer  :)

And then I got a bunch of stuff from Color Club:

The Femme Fatale collection!  I told you I'd get it!  Hehehe... The bad news is, though, I saw the Dance To The Musique collection there as well, and now I want it too... I was limiting myself to one Color Club collection, as they are $19, but next time I'm there I'm getting the Dance Musique collection...  I'm loving these collections.  Revvvolution looks awesome, and they didn't have it on the shelves... I'm not going back to the beauty supply, or buying any polishes for that matter, until my Transdesign order has come in (supposed to be next Friday).  Ohhh, I'm so excited about the Color Club polishes in that order.. and everything else, for that matter :D

Master Of Disguise minis.  L-R:  Ghost Of A Chance, Abracadabra, TaBoo! and Witchy Women(box)/Master Of Disguise (bottle).  I'm gonna call it Witchy Woman, since that seems more appropriate and Master Of Disguise just makes me think of that horrible movie with Dana Carvey.  These came out last Halloween I believe.  I wanted Abracadabra for a while, and it's completely out of season now, but oh well...

Color Club in Emerald Depths (aqua blue with green shimmer) and Blue Light (light blue creme).  Yeah, blue is definitely my favorite colour of nail polish... the bloggers all love green, and I love green too, but blue is definitely the colour I'm most drawn to... Emerald Depths reminds me of a shimmering tropical ocean (sigh).

Let's see, what else...

More CND Effects top coats.  Left, Gold Shimmer.  Right, Raspberry Sparkle.  These are gorgeous, and I totally underestimated the Gold Sparkle one I already had.  I can't wait to try the Raspberry or Gold Sparkle over a bright neon pink creme, like Orly Swizzle Stick...

More random stuff:

China Glaze Base Coat.  My bottle of OPI Natural Nails Base Coat broke, cuz I dropped it trying to carry too many things at once from the bedroom to the living room  :S so I needed a new base coat.  The MUA review boards were disappointing, as I couldn't find a base coat that was really recommended, so I just went with whatever.  I want Orly Bonder Base Coat, which I know they have at Sallys for the rip-off price of like eleven bucks :( but I'll make do with this for now.  I was gonna get Seche base coat, but it didn't seem worth it.

Nail wheels!  So I can swatch ALL of my polishes!  Wheee!  The ENTIRE collection!  They were a bit pricier than I thought, but whoo-hoo!

And then on the way home I had to stop into the drugstore to get my boyfriend his Valentine's Day present, and these caught my eye:

Nicole by OPI in Imagine If... and You're A Star.  I wanted these for a while, but after I bought them I remembered I'd bought China Glaze's Fairy Dust, and I think its pretty close to Imagine If...  I'm really into the layering concept lately though, so maybe they're different enough for me.  I got my boyfriend a bottle of D&G Light Blue and matching shower gel, too, in case you care...

Also, this was my NOTD when I went to the beauty supply:

Orly Plum Noir.  Very pretty dark berry purple creme.  Gets more plum and less raspberry the more layers you apply.  This is just two coats.  Great opacity.  Add a coat of Seche and your nails are like shiny berry plum patent leather.  Orly polish is great.  I want more.

Then, after I got home, I was so taken with my haul that I just had to use one of the polishes.  But I didn't want to take off Plum Noir just yet.  So I tried layering two of my new polishes - one hand with CND Raspberry Sparkle, and the other with Color Club Femme Fatale.  I thought they looked the same in the bottle, but the differences were obvious once I layered them over Plum Noir:

Orly Plum Noir with one coat of Color Club Femme Fatale.  As you can see, the glitter is much larger and more obvious in Raspberry Sparkle.  It's much sparklier.  Femme Fatale is more subtle, with a much milkier base that kind of dulled the "patent" look I had achieved with Plum Noir and Seche Vite.  It has much more of an obvious gold shimmer to it, as well.  It would be nicer over black or white or something you wanted to have a pearly finish.  Man I want to play around with these CND Effects, though... I'm very impressed with CND polish so far.  Seems great quality.  It is a bit pricey but not bad at the beauty supply.  These are $6, $6.90 for the Effects, whereas OPIs are $5 and China Glazes and Color Clubs are $4... affordable, especially for the great quality.  They have a vibrant pink called Raspberry Plunge that I like... No!  No!  No more polishes for a while!  Bad!

Yeah, so that's it for now.  I have a billion swatches from the past two weeks I need to post, and I'm on a no-buy until after the Transdesign stuff comes, so hopefully I'll be able to curb my cravings!

Also I signed up for a free makeover when I was at the drugstore from... Lise Watier?  Is that a good makeup brand?  I think its one of the more expensive drugstore brands... I do need my makeup shades reassessed though - I don't wear makeup very often anymore.  I actually wore more makeup when I was a teenager.

Okay, I have to go all of a sudden... my boyfriend is at this moment trying to drag me to the casino...?  I don't know.  Maybe we'll win some money and I can say bye to my no-buy  :p  Later.

Quick (and I mean it this time!) NOTD - OPI Banana Bandanna

Okay, seriously, this is really quick.  This is currently what I have on my nails:

OPI's Banana Bandanna.  Sorry, I haven't gotten around to throwing a coat of Seche on it yet.  I was craving something pastel, creme and spring-like.  I passed on China Glaze's Lemon Fizz, because I thought this looked very similar.  Now I'm glad I did.

I don't know how I feel about this polish.  In the bottle, it's a beautiful colour, bright and sunny, like fuzzy baby chickies ( I know someone else said that about Lemon Fizz, but its the first thing I thought of when I bought this last year).  On me, it kind of just looks like my nails are very yellowed.  I don't know.  I don't think pale yellows flatter me, which BOO! cuz I love my pastel cremes, and I've always been drawn to yellow polishes.  Whatever.  Like I said in my last post, I'll rock this polish no matter how hideous it looks with my skin tone, I care not!  It's such a happy pale yellow.  Seche Vite would probably make it look even sweeter, if it was all patent-looking high gloss and shiny...  Yeah, I'll probably change it later today, but I heart Banana Bandanna, and I intend to wear it this spring and summer.  It'd make such a nice sunny pedi  :)

Swatchage: Color Club Catwalk Queen collection and random sheer pink duochrome comparison

So I know I'm about a year behind on this, and this collection is anything but new, but its new to me.  And I'm lovin it so far.  Color Club released two Spring collection last year at around the same time - Femme Fatale and Catwalk Queen.  The colours in CQ caught my eye the most, so that was the one I bought, but I am wanting to go back for the FF collection. 

Anyway, these are the three I've worn out of the collection:

Catwalk Queen.  Sorry for the horrible chips, this was after a day of wear.  I wanted to get a pic of it anyway.  This is a very, very pretty deep burgundy purple shade with gold shimmer.  I know now how much it sucks taking photos with an iPhone because this pic does not do it justice at all.  It's very deep, shimmery and sexy, and doesn't look black in indoor lighting.

Runway Muse.  This is very pretty too.  Reminds me of mother-of-pearl or the inside of an abalone shell.  It's a pearly green and pink duochrome.  Someone else said its similar to OPI's Think It's Pink?/Sea The Change? and as I fondly remember that polish as one of my faves, I can agree.  Depending on which way the light hits your hand, indoors and out, the polish looks pink or blue green.  Above, it's showing the greener tone.

Here it's flashing the pinker tone.  You can see the colour change in the bottle too.  Man, it's hard getting that awesome affect to show up on an iPhone.  But my camera doesn't work anymore - it died on me last week.  It was just a Sony CyberShot 7.2 mp.  That's all I want, is just another little point-and-shoot - preferably Canon.  I don't need to own a big, fancy camera.  I consider myself an artist of all sorts, but for some very strange reason, to tell you the truth, I kind of suck at taking pictures.  I always have.  I belong in front of a camera, not behind it ;O  Well, not in front of a still camera.... nm.

  Pinky to thumb: Orly Opal Hope, China Glaze Afterglow, Orly Opal Hope again, China Glaze Rio, and Color Club Ready To Wear.  This is the only pic I have of Ready To Wear, on my thumb.  It's not a great pic, and I'll eventually put one up of my whole hand, but it shows the color difference between it and Runway Muse.  Above it looks more gold....

...and here it looks more pink/orange.  Ready To Wear is more of a gold/red/orange duochrome.  It shows up very warm gold on me.  Also, it seemed a bit more sheer than RM, but that could have been my imagination.  Both required four coats, and there was still a teensy hint of visible nail line (VNL) showing.

On the other fingies, Orly Opal hope needs no introduction.  It's gorgeous.  Opaque after two coats, shimmery, shiny, flashing different colours in different lights, yet pink and girly and cotton candy-ish looking... I'm in love. 

China Glaze Afterglow is also a really pretty polish.  Sheer pink with blue/green duochrome shimmer.  Rio is the darker, neon, more amped-up version of it.  The two polishes are definitely similar - I'd call them cousins - but Rio is a little more striking in my opinion.

Close-up comparison of the two, the bottom being Rio and the top being Afterglow.  Rio looks warmer as well - maybe that's why I prefer it on me.  Warm shades always flatter me more, but for some reason its cool shades that always catch my eye.  Of course.  Usually I say to hell with my skin tone, if it's a pretty colour and I like it, I'm gonna wear it.  Who cares if it makes my hands look like a zombie/corpse/diagram of the circulatory system?  ....anyway, yeah.  These are pretty, and I like Rio better, but I'm still going to wear Afterglow when I want a more girly, feminine look.

Quick NOTD - China Glaze Watermelon Rind, NYX Mango Cafe and China Glaze Wagon Trail

I'm tired.  But I have so many swatches to put up, and I'm kind of planning another trip to SNBS tomorrow.  Yes, I know, I need to seek a polish addiction support group.  So I'm gonna throw up (heh) a couple before I go to bed here....

I present to you: China Glaze Watermelon Rind, one my favorite polishes.

I don't own too many dark greens, so I love this.  I love the jelly base and the gorgeous glitter.  And the name - it reminds me exactly of watermelon rinds (only more sparkly).  This was after a solid 24 hours of wear - excuse the chipped tips.

NYX in Mango Cafe.  My "persimmon" shade.  What I'm hoping will substitute for OPI's Hot and Spicy (until I get my hands on it, that is).  A muted warm pinkish coral.  I think it looks good with my skin tone.  I'm loving NYX polishes so far - a bit pricey at $6 a pop, but nice colours and good formula.  I may have to pick up a few more.  These may be the exception to my drugstore rule.

And, since I have time....

 China Glaze in Wagon Train, with Sally Hanson Salon Project Runway on the pinkie.  Love both these colours.  Wagon Train is dark khaki green with gold shimmer - really noticeable under direct light.  Project Runway is a medium blue-based green with gold shimmer.  I don't know why I painted the pinky different, other than it gives me the ability to put on 2 colours at a time instead on one.  Sigh.  I have issues.

I'll post more of my swatches tomorrow morning, as well as my anticipated haul.  Also, I joined MUA tonight!  :)  :)  I'll post a couple times on the boards, and hopefully I'll start getting some traffic.  Till tomorrow.  G'nite.

Random swatches from the past week and Valentine's Day colours

G'morning.  How is the world?  My bf took another day off work - hehe.  I like it when he's home :)

I'm so excited, you guys... I just placed my first Transdesign order!  w000000t....  I ordered a whole lot of Color Club polishes, as well as part of the China Glaze Up & Away collection, a couple Essies and Misa Love Bite.  Originally I was intending on ordering the entire Up & Away collection, but I ended up passing on Lemon Fizz (too much like OPI Banana Bandanna, which I own), Grape Pop (Another royal purple.  I'd rather the shimmery purple of China Glaze's Coconut Kiss, which I'm gonna pick up from SN&BS), High Hopes (another corally guava colour), Heli-yum (bright raspberry) and Sugar High (straight up bright medium pink).  I was also finally going to order the China Glaze specialty glitters I'd been eyeing since Christmas, but they'll have to wait, except for Atlantis, Solar Flare and Cloud Nine.  I also got the Van D'Go shade from the new Essie spring collection, because it was the one I wanted most from that collection,  And I had been waiting for Color Club's polishes to become available, so when I saw they finally were today I ordered the shades from the Rebel Debutante collection that interested me, as well as the PopTastic 7-pack, and a few randoms that I wanted.  I even ordered three polishes - Peppermint Twist, Psychedelic Scene, and Jackie Oh! - without seeing swatches or even examples of the colour!  I have no idea what colour Psychedelic scene is, I'm assuming Peppermint Twist is another mint green (I hope), and Jackie Oh! is a pink glitter of some kind, I think...?  I couldn't find swatches, or even mentions of the first two online.  They seem very new.  Oh well, it's like a Color Club grab bag  :)  I'm so excited.  The only thing I'm worried about is I hope I paid the correct shipping - I thought you had to calculate it yourself  for international orders, and the total shipping price they ended up giving me on Paypal was a lot less than they stated on their site... I asked to ship by medium flat rate box, which is $57 US, but they only ended up charging me $25... I don't want to say anything, but i also don't want to take any chances with my order...   Ah well.  Onto some swatchery.

Thumb to pinky: CND Gold Chrome, China Glaze Yell-O-Neil, CND Blueberry Whip (love it), China Glaze Heaven, and OPI Kyoto Pearl.  I like Blueberry Whip the best of these - it goes on like a dream, and the colour really reminds me of blueberry fro-yo.  I really don't know why I bought Heaven - it's nice, but I never wear sheers like this.  Kyoto Pearl is pretty much exactly what I expected it to be.  Yell-O-Neil is a nice sunny yellow, with bits of shimmer in it.  However, like all non-creme yellows (and most cremes, too), you really gotta layer it on to get it to look even remotely opaque.

Thumb: NYX Dancing Queen.  Index finger: Finger Paints Easel Come, Easel Go.  I dunno about you but these look identical to me.  ECEG was a tiny bit brighter and shinier on the nail, but you couldn't tell unless you stared at it really closely.  Bah.  I don't like owning dupes.

And now, the Valentine's Day Polish contenders:

Thumb to pinky: OPI And This Little Piggy..., China Glaze Rio, China Glaze Her Fabulousness, China Glaze Sexy Silhouette, China Glaze Red Essence.

Close-up of And This Little Piggy... Really pretty and sparkly.  A tad too sheer.  Maybe after four coats it'd be more noticeable.

Close-up of Red Essence.  I had the hardest time photographing this, as you can tell from my crap blurry pic.  My apologies and I hope you'll please excuse it.  This is almost a metallic warm red, with red and gold shimmer.  I'm kind of in awe of it.  I like bright fiery colours, and I like my reds to be anything but boring.

Close-up of Rio.  Very sheer, but really pretty, purple-blue-green duochrome shimmer.  Very similar to China Glaze Afterglow, but a touch deeper.  I would also like to do a comparison with Sally Hansen Fiery Skipper, since the reason I bought it was to replace that crappy drugstore polish.  I don't wear colours like this very often, but I will wear this one day- it's vewy pwitty :p  I bet this would absolutely glow against tanned skin  :)  This is only two coats - it's fabulous with four.

....and Sexy Silhouette.  Sorry for the blurriness, but you get the idea.  These certainly look similar, but are so not, with SS beeing deeper, more magenta and more shimmery.  It almost looks metallic as well.

Sexy Silhouette to me just screams Valentine's, but I do also like And This Little Piggy...  I'm going to layer one of Nicole's or Claire's heart glitter polishes over it, ultimately, so I dunno... I will undoubtedly post about it, though.

More Haul 01-26-10

Hola.  I got a whole whack of more haulage to show you.  I told you I went to Secret Nail and Beauty Supply on Tuesday, right?  I thought I did.  Anyhow, I was going back for the rest of the OMG collection, but I ended up coming back with some polishes that I'd had my eye on, a whole shiteload of China Glazes (that display!  All the colours!  It sucks me in like a vortex!) with emphasis on Valentine's Day colours, and a Color Club collection that caught my eye.  Ended up leaving with a lot more than I intended.  Oops.

Here it is:

China Glaze in (top to bottom) TMI, GR8, Rio, Shower Together, and Wagon Trail.  Those were the only ones out of the OMG collection that I ended up wanting, I've always liked Shower Together (and the name, hehe) and Wagon Trail just looked friggin cool.  Dark khaki green with gold shimmer?  Yum!  I don't really know why I bought Rio.... oh yeah, cuz I have another Sally Hansen blue-toned iredescent pink called Fiery Skipper that I would like to replace with this, and they look identical in the bottle.

The China Glaze V-Day (ish) polishes (l-r): Heaven, Thataway, Sexy Silhouette, He's Going In Circles (not V-Day-ish but just plain cool), Red Essence and Her Fabulousness.  I was so choked about Thataway - its a warm shimmery gold peach, and I've been lemming peaches of all sorts for spring.  So I was all thrilled when I found it in the "discontinued" bin for 2 bucks.  However, when I took it out to photograph it, I noticed, Huh, funny, the bottle looks half empty.  When I opened it, the polish was all crusted around the rim of the bottle.

Gross.  So that was obviously not stored properly.  I find a lot of polishes in the discontinued bin look like they're not mixed properly, but I usually pick through them and find ones that are good.  I'm mad at myself for not noticing in the store.  BTW, does anyone know anything about the China Glaze Sun Glaze polishes, that are supposed to change colour in the sun?  There's so many of them at SNBS, and the concept sounds cool, but.... how old are these??  When did CG come out with them?  Sometime in the 90's?  Anyway, moving on...

OPI in Kyoto Pearl.  To replace my crappy Revlon Pure Pearl.  I love pearly whites for summer.  Looks so nice against tanned skin. 

More OPI in And This Little Piggy...  wanted something pink and sparkly.  I don't really own that many OPI polishes - I like them, but they're expensive, and if I can find a similar colour from China Glaze I'll get that instead, but some shades just look so nice... maybe my OPI collection will grow.  I want the entire Designer Series colection...

CND polishes in Gold Chrome, Oilslick, Gold Sparkle and Blueberry Whip.  These were pricey too, but I don't own any CND and I wanted to try out the formula.  Plus, they have this whole layering concept they call "Colours and Effects" (someone at CND is Canadian :) or at least spells like one) that I found intriguing.  On All Laquered Up, they were discussing and showing pics of various polishes they layered, with sometimes surprising results.

Close-up of Oilslick.  This is a dark, dark teal - it looks black if you don't apply it very thinly.  Which is hard to do because the formula is so awesome and opaque.  CND has a similar polish called Inkwell, which is a almost-black dark blue I think.  Needless to say, I'll probably pick it up next time I'm there  :p

Close-up of Gold Sparkle.  Supposed to be layered over other polishes. I haven't decided what to use as a base for this... something contrasting... dark would work of course.... maybe over a neon..?  Hmmm....

Man, I really gotta finish this post...

Okay, what else did I get....  OOooh. right!

Color Club Catwalk Queen Collection.  L-R: Front Row Diva (soft pearly grey), Runway Muse (iridescent Mother-of-Pearl duochrome green), Vintage Couture (baby pink creme), Ready To Wear (pinkish iridescent duochrome), Fashion Addict (sparkly lilac-grey holo) and Catwalk Queen (deep burgundy purple with gold shimmer).  I love these.  The collection really caught my eye.  I couldn't leave the store without it - i put back other things so I could buy it.  I want the Femme Fatale Collection as well.  Man, I just love Color Club - I think they're my second favorite polish brand.  So far I've only tried Catwalk Queen and Runway Muse, and they're both gorgeous.  I will try to get some sub-par swatches up for you.

Color Club Mini in I Am Not A Plastic Bottle.  Okay... no you are not.  I don't get the name (well, I get it, but there's not much to get - they just picked a name they thought was clever that had nothing to do with the colour of the polish) but it was pretty.  And I was hunting for V-Day-ish colours.  This is a dark red/burgundy with gold shimmer.  See, some names I think are cute and I some I think are just stupid.  I'm very opinionated and bitchy though.  But you like me anyway.  So I'll tell you what I think of polish names when I swatch them.  For example, I was wearing China Glaze Watermelon Rind yesterday.  Now that's a great name.  That's exactly what it reminds me of.  Other polishes I wish I could name.  Oh, which reminds me:

I went downtown to pick up a cheque for photo doubling on Supernatural (yes, I got to talk to Jensen, girls :) ) and I needed to break a 20 for the bus, and London Drugs was right there.  So naturally I saw a couple things to break it with  :p  Clockwise from top: Sally Hansen Salon in Project Runway (green with gold shimmer and green and gold microglitter), Seche Vite topcoat (I finally got, after finding it sold out everywhere) and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Rockstar Pink (dense pink, blue and silver glitter in a clear base - much like Sephora by OPI's Too Good For Him, but with pink glitter instead of purple).  I know what I've said about drugstore polishes, but Sally Hansen isn't as bad as Revlon, and the Rockstar Pink has been catching my eye since Christmas - I'm a sucker for glitter.  I finally got Seche Vite, so I can get the most shine out of my polishes (I like an extremely shiny, hi-gloss finish, like a beloved car that's been buffed and waxed for eight hours).  And the Sally Hansen Salon colour is what I was just talking about.  I wish they had named it Poison Ivy.  That's what is reminds me of - especially the Uma Thurman version in the horrible horrible Batman with Clooney and the Nippled Batsuit.  Laughably horrible movie - great costumes.  Or maybe like a really sparkly Ninja Turtle.  Or maybe my brain's just not working right now cuz its seven in the morning. 

That was my haul from last week.  I also went to IKEA and got a Helmer.  Whoo hoo!  Does that make me an official Hoarder?  I'm still trying to organize and catalogue my collection, though - I don't just want to pack them all into a Helmer to be forgotten!  :p  Ideally I'd like to swatch and inventory each one, but yeah right.  I would like to count them and have them all listed though.  I need a nail wheel.
